Brazil is experiencing the second worst plane crash in the country since the 2007 crash that killed about 199 people due to an error from the pilot. On Friday August 9, 2024, a flight leaving the city of Cascavel – Paraná state crashed before arriving at its destination.
Reports confirmed that, ATR 72 airline VOEPASS , flight number 2283, left the city of Cascavel and was heading to Sao Paulo international airport -Guardulhos before losing communication and crashing in the city of Vinhedo, killing 57 passengers and 4 crew members. Brazil government officials have not released a statement to confirm the cause of the tragic incident.
