Guinness Super League: Fortuna Drops, Kameni Breaks Goal Scoring Record in FC Ebolowa’s Unbeaten Run .

Mathematically, this is the end of the road for AS Fortuna in the Cameroon Guiness Super league after a two year stay, following a devastating one all draw with Dja Sports.
With this result, they sit bottom of the classification table with 12 points.

FC Ebolowa on the other hand, extended their unbeaten run in the Guinness Super League to 20 games this season following a 3-0 Victory against Caiman Filles, courtesy of goals from Alice Flora Kameni and Berthe Bengono Abega.

By scoring a brace in this encounter,Flora become the first player in the three-year Guinness Super League era to achieve 20 goals in a single season, breaking the records of Lamine Mana and Marie Giselle Ngah Manga achieved in the past two seasons. The 19-goal tally is the highest since the start of the Guinness Super League three years ago.

It should however be noted that Kameni also achieved a rare 23 goal return in Louves Minprof’s 2020 title winning season, only that Guinness wasn’t on board then. She is thus three goals away from her personal best with two games to go.

She was equally voted woman of Guinessico for the third time this season.

The aspiring champions FC Ebolowa defended resolutely to ensure all three points and a clean sheet were fetched from the Bonamoussadi stadium in Douala over the weekend , maintaining their status as leaders of the classification table, closely followed by defending champions Lekie Filles who beat Louves Minprof 2-0 to battle the title out in a very tight contest.

FC Ebolowa and Lekie Filles are level on points, with 50 points each so far but the former leads courtesy of a superior head-to-head consideration.

Meantime,Adelpha Sipinyu scored a brace against Authentic Ladies to help Ita Mbong record a 2-1 comeback victory against Authentic Ladies.

The results drags Authentic Ladies out of the top three this weekend while Ita Mbong with 19 points go five points away from the first relegation position.
Eding Filles suffered a 3-0 loss to Eclair of Sa’a, thus sitting in the first relegation position with 14points.

Two time champions, AS Awa succumbed to a 1-0 loss to Amazone FAP.

Two more games to go before the season comes to an end.
