Sons and daughters of the Nine villages that make up Njikwa Subdivision,will converge on Bamenda this Saturday April 13 2024 ,to celebrate their cultural diversity and richness.
This will be during the first edition of the Njikwa Solidarity Festival Championed by the Mayor of Njikwa Council, Akebe Emmanuel Angwa.
The cultural jamboree is expected to bring together all 9 villages that make up Njikwa Subdivision including Bako,Bakwa,Bassa,Banya,Ekwebo,Ikweri,Konda,Ngwo and Oshie.
The cultural richness of the Njikwa people will be at the center of attraction through tradition displays,songs,talks and other activities.
The Njikwa Solidarity Festival will offer an opportunity for the peace loving, hardworking and development oriented people to chat a better future for their community,in the face of growing challenges.
According to the Chairman of the Organizing committee, Antunka Napoleon,the highly anticipated event will begin at 10AM at Upstation in Bamenda.
Njikwa is found in Momo division of the Northwest Region of Cameroon.The people who consume a delicacy known as “Nanterri”are reputed for producing top politicians , musicians, administrators as well as successful Buisness men and women.
