As Cameroon prepares for the February 2027 elections, the Social Democratic Front (SDF) Coordinator for Fako Division, Honourable Ngeka Fritz Etoke, has called on opposition parties to close ranks and present a united front to challenge the ruling Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM).
The appeal comes amid growing discussions within opposition circles over the need for political collaboration, strategic alliances and a common approach to the forthcoming elections.Hon. Ngeka Fritz Etoke believes that opposition unity could provide a stronger platform for parties with shared political objectives to work together rather than divide their support among competing candidates.
His call also raises questions about the possibility of broader political alliances ahead of the polls and the willingness of opposition parties to put aside individual interests in pursuit of common political objectives. With the February elections approaching, attention will increasingly focus on whether opposition parties can translate calls for unity into concrete political arrangements.
The 2027 Municipal and Legislative elections will be highly contested in Fako Division,SWR of Cameroon .
