Former Intermediate Lions of Cameroon midfielder Mofema Nathaniel Nangolo ,has completed his move to Iraq Stars League side Diyala SC from Al Hudod SC. After successful stints with Sohar SC in Oman, Mofema will now be donning the jersey of Diyala SC, affectionately known as “The Orange.”
The newly promoted side, already one of the most popular clubs in Iraq, is gearing up for an ambitious run in the top flight, with sights set on challenging for the title.
Nath, as Mofema is popularly known, brings a wealth of experience and versatility to Diyala. A naturally gifted midfielder, he is renowned for his calmness under pressure, pinpoint passing, and ability to dictate the tempo of a game. His ability to read the game and transition from defense to attack makes him an invaluable asset in midfield.
However, Mofema’s skills extend beyond the center of the pitch—he has also proven himself as a capable central defender when needed, offering his team additional tactical flexibility. He will be an exceptional addition for Diyala.
Several Iraqi top-flight clubs were reportedly vying for Nath’s signature, recognizing the unique blend of leadership and on-field intelligence that he brings to the table. However, it was Diyala SC’s project that resonated with him the most. Nath explained, “The club’s ambitions align perfectly with my personal goals. I’m excited to be part of a team that is hungry for success and ready to make its mark in the league.”
Diyala SC, with their rich fan base and growing stature, are aiming to establish themselves as serious contenders in the Iraq Stars League. With Nath’s experience, leadership, and tactical flexibility in both midfield and central defense, the club is well-positioned to make an impact.
Good luck, Nath!
