SwissLink Professional University, renowned for its focus on business and technology education, held a colorful and engaging Cultural and Open Day celebration at its Bonaberi campus on Friday, May 9, 2025, uniting students, parents, and guests from various secondary schools across Douala.

The event, which served both academic and cultural purposes, gave students a platform to showcase what they had learned and achieved throughout the academic year. Activities included academic exhibitions, the Brain Box inter-school quiz competition, cultural dance displays, and the much-anticipated Mr. and Miss SwissLink contest. The celebration highlighted SwissLink’s commitment to holistic education that combines classroom knowledge with real-world and extracurricular engagement.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Carlson Eyongabi Ngwa, proprietor of SwissLink Professional University, emphasized the importance of the celebration in the development of students’ potential. “This event is part of our student empowerment strategy. We aim to help students identify and grow their skills, not just academically but through cultural and extracurricular activities as well,” Dr. Eyongabi said. “SwissLink is more than just a school — it’s a place of transformation, and our motto remains: Creating Opportunities.”

Dr. Eyongabi, who is based in Switzerland, explained that the event allows students—particularly those in their first year—to explore and identify their individual interests. He also highlighted that after two years of study, students present their research work to their families before taking the HND exam, marking the growth they have experienced at SwissLink.
Mr. Tameukong Romario, popularly known as Mr. T and serving as the Public Relation Officer of the institution, took the opportunity to extend appreciation to all who participated. He underscored the affordability and quality of SwissLink’s programs in accountancy, human resources, software engineering, and network security. Mr. T also announced special scholarships for incoming students, including a 100,000 FCFA reduction in tuition fees for those with outstanding advanced level results.

Also present were principals of visiting schools, who expressed their appreciation for the initiative. Mr. Encho Timothy, principal of NABICO Bonaberi, praised the event, stating, “I am so impressed. It was a very colorful event, and my school was well represented in the quiz interschool competition, where we emerged top.” He emphasized that such opportunities would encourage his students to consider SwissLink for higher education.

Echoing his sentiments, Wachong Nji Dorin, Vice Principal of Belmont Bilingual High School, commended SwissLink for offering a well-rounded learning experience. “SwissLink is showing excellence both academically and morally. Today’s activities mirror what we practice in our school, from cultural showcases to student leadership initiatives,” he stated.
The newly crowned Mr. SwissLink 2025, Njamendeu Deuko Luprince, a Level 1 software engineering student, shared his excitement and vision for his tenure. “It was not easy, but I’m joyful and proud. As Mr. SwissLink, I aim to address issues within the campus, improve cleanliness, and make the environment more welcoming for all.”

The Cultural and Open Day concluded with smiles, cheers, and applause, leaving participants inspired and energized. SwissLink with campuses in Bonaberi Douala and Kumba once again affirmed its place as a leading institution dedicated not only to academic excellence but also to nurturing talent, identity, and opportunity among its students.
