The recently launched councilor Albert Mukete’s laudable Scholarship scheme is facing attacks from some detractors ,who have been discrediting the juicy program to better the lives of the youths in Muyuka and beyond.
This comes at a time when the traditional rulers of Muyuka Balong have hailed and offered their blessings to hon, Councillor Albert Mukete Kai, following the humanitarian gesture. Through HRM Chief Nkwane Embolo Mukete,the chiefs describes this great gesture as a means of bringing hope to the community.
The Divisional Officer of Muyuka,Tanyi Requecegnol ,on his part has called on all elites of Muyuka to copy the good example of Councilor Albert Kai Mukete of bringing education closer to the less privileged.
Mayor Landjinu Lazare, of the Muyuka council is pleased and overwhelmed with the scholarship Scheme and has promised the support of the Muyuka Council.
The Sub-divisional Delegate of Youth Affairs and Civic Education Mesumbe Epie, has enjoined the youths to take this scholarship seriously .To him ,it is a formidable initiative that is coming to compliment government’s actions in the domain of youths socio-economic empowerment .
The esteemed ,young,and vibrant councilor has however refused to comment on unfounded allegations raised by detractors noting that securing a brighter future for the youths irrespective of their background is more important to him.
The gesture of the CPDM councilor Albert Kai Mukete offering 250,000,frs to 100 students in partnership with Excel University Institute of Buea has won the hearts of many and is seen as a step towards the right direction which will bring relief to parents.During the launch of the program Councillor Albert indicated that “efforts are already underway to expand the scope and include other national and international institutions as well as other disciplines in the near future.
