The Social Democratic Front (SDF) has intensified its campaign efforts for presidential candidate Honourable Joshua Osih with a grassroots door-to-door mobilization in Mbengwi, Momo Division of the North West Region.
The exercise, launched on October 2, 2025, brought the party’s message directly to households, with militants in full SDF attire canvassing neighborhoods and interacting face-to-face with residents. The campaign covered strategic areas including Mile 19, Mile 20, Mbon Market Square, and Muswe, where residents engaged with party representatives on Osih’s vision for the country.
Personalized Engagement

Coordinated by Campaign Lead Barrister Ndangoh Tah Kalvin, the strategy aimed at building trust and ensuring that voters heard the candidate’s message in a personal way rather than through rallies alone.
“The SDF in Mbengwi continues with its door-to-door campaign, going from house to house, quarter to quarter, and preaching the message of Honourable Joshua Osih, the most dynamic and credible lone Anglophone in the race,” Barrister Ndangoh explained.
The campaign deployed ten separate teams across the constituency to maximize reach and guarantee that no quarter was left untouched. Militants carried campaign literature, answered residents’ questions, and reinforced the party’s commitment to addressing the pressing challenges facing the North West Region.
Regional Aspirations at the Center

Joshua Osih’s campaign has placed strong emphasis on regional aspirations and inclusion, positioning himself as the lone Anglophone candidate in the 2025 presidential race. By bringing the message directly to Mbengwi voters, the SDF hopes to deepen connections and highlight its pledge to deliver credible leadership that resonates with local concerns.
The strategy is expected to be replicated in other parts of Momo Division, reinforcing Osih’s footprint in the the party’s birth region ahead of the October 12 elections.
Community Response

Residents welcomed the initiative as an opportunity for direct dialogue. While some praised the SDF for prioritizing grassroots interaction, others expressed cautious optimism, stressing the need for tangible change.
For many, however, the visibility of the campaign in their neighborhoods reaffirmed the party’s commitment to engaging the electorate at the most personal level possible.
The Bigger Picture

With just days to go before the presidential election, the SDF’s door-to-door outreach in Mbengwi reflects a broader shift in political strategy across Cameroon, as parties increasingly seek to complement large rallies with targeted, community-driven engagement.
For Honourable Joshua Osih and the SDF, the Mbengwi campaign is more than voter mobilization — it is a symbolic gesture of reconnecting with the grassroots where the party first built its foundation.
